This book gives an all-embracing insight in the work of the artist for the first time, from the beginnings of his career that started with illegal works on the street, covering the time of his studies of fine arts in Switzerland up to the present, in which his works can mostly be seen in large scale museum presentations. This book shows the development of the works of the artist over a course of 25 years and also all important periods of his œuvre in more than 350 colour images, of which some have never been published before. Murals, canvases, sculptures, editions, graphics and the later tapings can be seen. About the Author Mirko Reisser, born in 1971 in Lüneburg, is an artist known worldwide for his iconic large size graffiti works in the 3D-style, in which he depicts his writer name DAIM in serial repetition within the processes of construction and deconstruction. In 1989, he realised his first works of graffiti in a public space, and created his first commissioned pieces in 1990. In 1991, right after his graduation from secondary school, he began to work as a freelance artist and called himself DAIM. In 1996 he began his studies of Fine Arts at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Art (Switzerland). Today he lives and works in Hamburg (Germany). During his artistic career, Mirko Reisser has travelled to many parts of the world and taken part in a multitude of museum and gallery exhibitions. He has also aided and initiated many internationally recognised art projects, curated and organised exhibitions and published books, often together with the studio collaboration ‘getting-up’ that was founded in 1999 with Gerrit Peters and Heiko Zahlmann.
